Zack and I are so excited! Zack was grinning from ear to ear in the waiting room after when found out that we were having a boy! Our little boy is growing right at target and his due date is still April 21st. He was squirming and wiggling the whole time and would not show us his face but hopefully next time we can see his face again. Once he gets a little bigger with all the kicking he is doing I should feel him a lot. We are so grateful that he is healthy and that everything is going well. And Oh BOY Oh BOY will we have fun!Dec 9, 2010

Rumor Has It....
That I am pregnant. Well that is one rumor that is true! Zack and I are expecting our first baby April 2011. Today I am 17 weeks, so just over 4 months. It is so crazy. We did not think that we would end up with a little one for a few more years and not without a lot more tears but surprises happen and things come in the Lord's time. I know that we are given trials and for us getting this little one has been a heartache, so I am really just trying to savor the moment. It is crazy for me to think that our little family is expanding now after so much time just the two of us but we are so excited for this next step and I really cannot believe it is actually happening! Most days it seems like I am living someone elses life. I do not feel like I am pregnant and I am so used to everyone else being pregnant that this is all surreal to me. I love it but I have no clue what I am doing or what to look for. Hopefully I will have some sort of natural instincts when the baby actually comes. I think it might get more real when I can start feeling the baby and when we find out what we are having, which should be sometime in December. We have really enjoyed the last four months and I have been feeling really great. Which has been a huge blessing to me because of my school schedule.
I am due the 21st of April which is the last day of finals so I am hoping that this little one can just stay in there until at least the 22nd or 23rd I don't think I would even complain about the 24th. But whatever happens happens and we can handle it and I know we will be given the strength necessary to get through, LIFE IS GOOD! Actually it is GREAT! Sorry for all my ramblings there is so many emotions and thoughts running through my mind. But here is the fun part a few pictures of Baby Ludlow (I still can't believe I am writing that. 3 1/2 years of wanting one of these will do that to a girl) :) Sorry they are kind of blurry but here they are. The second one is my favorite, because his/her facial features are very distinct, you can tell more in my photo not the picture of a picture. During the ultrasound the baby was moving like crazy, the arms and legs were going everywhere and the baby kept moving. The ultrasound tech told us we have a mover and a shaker on our hands and I believe that one 100%, I mean look at the parents. :)

City of the Rocks
Zack had an assignment to take me somewhere and look at a bunch of rocks and then write a paper about the rocks. Seriously that was one of his assignments, Biology Majors. But since my dad only lives 12 miles from City of the Rocks we figured we could visit him and get Zack's assignment done. We had a very eventful trip up to Idaho but finally made it and enjoyed some time just the two of us in nature. Even though it was chilly it was nice to learn more about the rocks and listen to Zack enjoying himself.

Both Zack and I thought this was a really cool split of the rock. We could not believe it was such a clean cut.
A face in the rock.

Zack and I at City of the Rocks, on the back side of Bath Rock. When looking at the picture just remember I am pregnant, the car ride was long and I got sick. Thank goodness I was only a few miles from my Dad's house when I got sick but still not a fun combination.
Maybe next time we go back we will climb, I just vote we go when it is warmer. Both times we have gone to City of the Rocks together it has been cold and really windy.

Ye Haw~
Last night Zack and I went to the Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night for the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo. The Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo is one of my favorite rodeos. I have been going to the events for years, ever since my sisters starting showing horses and got involved in Junior Posse. We were both tough enough to wear PINK and had a great time.
After the rodeo events the motorcycles came out and did some crazy stunts including flips!
A new "event" this year was musical chairs cowboy style. The cowboys had to sit on their chairs while holding onto the horses then when the music started they had to jump on their horses and run to the other side and find a chair while still holding onto their horse. It was crazy to see and kind of scary but sooooo entertaining. One guy fell off and lots of people ran into each other but I do not think anyone was harmed. So fun! I hope they do it again next year!

Weekend Get Away
I had a Saturday off and decided to was time to get away just the two of us so we headed to one of our favorite places Bear Lake. We left Saturday morning and had such a great time. we spent some time at the Lake, drove all around into Idaho and found some super cute towns with lots of old architecture and old billboards and even stooped to indulge ourselves with a few scratch tickets.
I wanna be like Uncle Zacky!

Ludlow Family Olympics
Zack and I decided to plan a reunion for his family this year because I had what I thought was a super fun idea. We decided to host the Ludlow Family Olympics as the reunion this year. We went to Coalville to camp and ended up with a perfect spot with lots of grass for the activities. We did everything from making our own family flags, swimming, having a talent show and of course some games. Mikey was running in the Ragnar during the reunion and one of his legs was in Heber so we headed up there to support him. The best part was Roscoe yelling to Mikey "I've missed you Daddy!" It was so cute and we are so proud of you Mikey!
Jake was so cute, we are so glad that Shane and Jessica were able to come and play with us. Zack and I are very partial to his clothing choice for the day of the games!
Two of the cutest little girls ever, Paula and Charley were so cute running around together.
Dad and Mom Ludlow and Parker's getting ready to race. They were both very efficient at this race.
We even had special visitors come to participate.
The Talent Show, Roscoe told jokes...he is such a cutie!
All the flags, each family made their own then we had a family flag with all our hand prints and the babies footprints.
Brunson's vs. Parker's
I think Zack is trying to give Charley some insider advice!
The Smith Family on the 2x4 race. The Smith's were the Orange Team. Each family had their own color and bandanna to match.

Hiking
Saturday Zack and I went on a hike with Abby, Elizabeth and Robert. We decided to hike above Weber State University and try and find the Shoreline Trail. We had a good time but did not stay out long poor Abby got a bloody nose, most likely from the heat, it was one of the first real hot days and the air was really dry. But we had a nice short hike anyway. We will be more prepared next time. Thankfully some nice ladies came by who were more prepared they had wet wipes and napkins that we could use to try and stop the bleeding. Thanks for coming with us guys. Maybe we will try it again on a cooler day.

Derby & Not The Pinewood Type
Saturday night Zack and I went to a Demolition Derby with Robert and the Smith Family. It was so much fun. Zack's first derby and my first derby in a really long time. We both loved the trucks they were awesome. The finale with all the winners was also awesome! The hits were crazy. No one flipped but a car did manage to end up on top of another car and make its way off to ram some more cars, a few cars lost their tires and some broke axles! So much fun we would definitely go to another one! The nieces and nephew also had a lot of fun. It was fun watching them get excited, even the youngest at 4 was enjoying herself and had favorite cars! Definitely worth sitting in the cold for about 4 hours!

Mini Break
I took a class this past week that was Monday through Friday from 8-4. It is a 3 credit hour class that I need to graduate and I figured if I could get it out of the way in a week why not. Zack and I had planned to get out after this week was over to relax before classes start Monday for both of us. We decided to go camping. It may sound crazy and it kind of was because it was raining and snowing on us most of the time. Lucky for us we decided to sleep in the truck and not a tent. Friday after I got out of class and Zack got home from work we drove out to Coalvile to check out the Camperworld there. Which happens to be where we are hosting the Ludlow Family Reunion this year. We just enjoyed ourselves, went on a few walks, roasted marshmallows over a propane stove and just relaxed. Saturday we also made a quick trip to Logan to buy some tires for the truck and on the way home had dinner at Firehouse Pizzeria. I love that place. Jessica and Clay took us there last year when we were up there visiting and I have wanted to go back.
Devil's Slide on the way home. Yes that is snow.

Thanksgiving Point
Zack and I went on a date Saturday afternoon and spent some time at The Thanksgiving Point Gardens while the Tulip Festival was underway. Neither of us had been there before and we had a great time walking around the 55 acres of gardens. The flowers were pretty and we want to go back again after the Tulip Festival and see what other flowers and greenery grows, especially when the trees are green.
A waterfall they had. You could walk above the waterfall on a path or play down below in a large grassy area. There was even a band playing.
One of my favorite gardens.

Italian Garden. It was funny how the tulips only grew on the left side and not the right. Zack was telling me it is probably because they get less sun on the right.
Oh and we loved these rose gardens. The archway was beautiful. If we have a large enough yard we decided that we would love a smaller version of something like this woodwork. There were others throughout the gardens and various plants would grow on. I believe that roses will grow near these soon. It was so pretty.
We ran into my Uncle John and Aunt Amy and their cute kids Spencer and Ava. We were walking along the edge of the pond and I said hey that kid looks like my cousin Spencer. Zack and I looked closer and Zack said, "He still looks like your cousin Spencer." Then we saw my Uncle John. It was such a pleasant surprise. Thanks for chatting with us.
This was Zack's favorite place.
I loved this area. I loved the different heights of the flowers and the depth that it created. This was what I was expecting when I thought of the Tulip Festival. Oh I loved it!
