Well I have neglected this blog for a LONG time. Our computer is not working so there will not be any pictures with this post but I thought it would be time to give an update on our lives. It will also kind of be like our Christmas card/ letter since I have not got those done. Each year I think this year and each year I fail to get them out, maybe next year.
Well 2014 has been a year of changes for our family. We had a great year with lots if fun, learning and growing. In January Zack and I along with his brother and sister went to Utah State University to check out the college and so Zack could apply. Well we had a great time, Zack applied and we started looking into housing. Zack was accepted and we were thrilled, relived and excited to start this next adventure. Well Shaunna started applying for jobs in March but heard nothing. Shaunna gave her notice with the school district she was working for in April and tried not to worry about getting a job but it was always in the back of her mind. We finished the school year out and Shaunna packed up her room, we packed up our apartment and moved everything into storage the end of June. Between packing up and a Lore Family Reunion Shaunna was offered a job with a school in Logan teaching ESL. We feel so blessed that she was offered a job and were able to relax and enjoy our summer. We spent most of July on vacation with Zack's parents. Warren and Shaunna traveled 4650 miles in 17 days and visited a total of 8 states. We were so glad Zack could join us halfway through the trip. It was a memorable trip where we fell in love with Hot Springs Arkansas. We returned home towards the end of July and started looking for a home. We finally found a place and moved to Logan the 9th of August. Shaunna started work on the 11th of August which gave Zack and Warren some time to themselves. Zack has been the best Mr. Mom this past semester taking Warren to story time, the park for bike rides while I work during the day. Zack got a job working for Wal-Mart in October after he finished mowing lawns for the season. We have been juggling working days and nights and enjoying the time we have together. We are also looking forward to Zack starting school in January and we know it I'll be a trying time but one we can learn from and enjoy. We have seen the Lord's hand in so many ways since moving here and it has been a good move, for our family. I know that our Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers, he has answered mine and looked out for us in so many ways. I have seen him guide me to the best possible job for our family, a job I would not have applied for but one that meets our needs and one that I enjoy. I have seen him answer my prayers when I needed a friend and he guided us to a great ward, where the bishop happens to be one of my teachers from elementary. So in a nutshell our world changed drastically, we left comfortable jobs for no job, left the city we had lived in for most of our lives, with family close by to an unfamiliar town with no family and have found joy relying on one another and our Savior to meet our needs. We are coming to love Cache Valley and all the family friendly things it has to offer.
We hope that during this holiday season you all feel the love of your Savior and can show love to him through serving others. That is our wish to you and your family this Christmas season.
