Murder Mystery Party

Last Saturday Jeff and Laura my uncle and aunt hosted a murder mystery party. It was a 1920's themed party and a lot of fun. Neither Zack or myself were the murders, even though are characters wanted Hal Cappone dead. Thank you for inviting us it was a great night out!

The Gang enjoying dinner.
My aunt Polly, cousin Bekah, aunt Marie, and me after the party was over, (luckily none of us were the murder)

Precis, (Diann) and Gat (my dad) My dad's character and mine were very similar to ourselves and some of the things we did together like his character taught me to shoot a gun, and drive a car, were actually things that he has helped me learn.

My cousin Bekah, GORGEOUS!

Molly the Flapper (Zack sewed the fringe and sequins on the skirt Great job!)

My stud Ernie the millionaire

I just love this picture of us!

Quirky Quirks

Okay I am really slow at getting this post up sorry Bonnie and Kim. I am just quirky naturally so it is hard for me to think of 6 things but I will try.

1. I love calculating budgets, I don't stick to them very well, but I love dealing with numbers. One of my favorite things to do is try and figure out how fast I could have something paid off.

2. I have to have my money faced correctly and love having it in descending order. I think this is from working at a bank for 6 1/2 years.

3. I am completely random, and love scaring people. I will just walk into a room and yell BOO! I also love playing practical jokes on people, especially at work. Moving cars, put for sale signs in them, etc.

4. I am a list maker. I make lists all the time for things I want to accomplish that day, week or month. But I usually make them during class then don't look at them again, go figure.

5. I am a blog addict. It has gotten a lot better, but I will check people's blogs all the time, sometimes multiple times if I am expecting them to post about something.

6. I am just me, and really being Shaunna Ludlow is extremely quirky!

Shout out to Zack!

I just wanted to say that I have a great husband! He is so willing to help me out whenever possible and takes such great care of me! I have had a long week and have been sick and he has been so sweet and helped me get feeling better. He even finished my costume for our Murder Mystery party! He is so amazing! He sewed the fringe and sequins on and did not complain. That is just one of many things he does to make my life easier. Besides the fact that he works and goes to school! Zack I love you and and am so grateful for you!

Welcome back Fred!

A shout out to Fred who just returned from a military deployment. Fred is my mom's boyfriend and he has been gone since February. We are glad he is back, now there is someone else for everyone to tease besides me. :) And if you see this Fred I thought you would like this picture more than the one from your birthday at Texas Road House!

We Voted!

We had a say in this years election and I am grateful for that!! It was so nice to vote today, I love the electronic ballots! And even better when Zack and I went there were NO LINES! We walked right in and within a few minutes we were on our way out. As one person said it was like a "drive thru!"

Soup Cook Off!

This picture describes how our soup for the Annual Ludlow Family Soup Cook Off turned out. We decided to try and make a Pumpkin Soup. It was about 11 pm Thursday night when we finished, we tried a little with our finger... not to bad, we knew it would not win, but it was better than it looked. So we tried a spoonful, YUCK!! It was awful, it tasted just like unsweetened pumpkin pie filling. So Zack and I decided that we would not be entering the soup, but wanted to bring one anyway. We did not have enough time to make another because we both had to work on Friday and Zack had school, but the mischievous side in us came out. We decided to go to Dragon Hill a local Chinese restaurant and buy some hot 'n' sour soup and put it in one of our bowls. We got to the party and everyone was commenting on it wanting to know how we made it. If anyone out there does not know I am a horrible liar and cannot keep a secret. Thus we were disqualified for buying our soup. We will be back next year to try and win the trophy again (we won in 2007 with an Enchilada Soup it was really good), just not with a pumpkin soup recipe.

Halloween at the Ludlow's

We had the 3rd annual Ludlow Family Soup Cook off on Halloween. Amy, Rosann and Zack and I made soups this year. Rosann's won, she made a cabbage soup that was really good! Amy also made a good Corn Chowder. Our soup was a Hot 'n' Sour soup but was disqualified. Here are some pictures of the folks who dressed up, and Charley deciding if she is an Angel or Devil!

Zack and Shaunna trying to convince a nun, Sister Mary Clarence (aka Jenelle) to follow us.

Those of us who dressed up, from back left to right; Amy as Ugly Betty, Charley as a "Charley Horse," Jenelle as Sister Mary Clarence (from Sister Act,) Shaunna as an Angel, Zack as a Devil, Roscoe as a Dragon, Paula's head is sticking out but she was a horse, Abby as a Cheerleader, and Michaela in a poodle skirt.
