Warren's 1st Birthday Photo Shoot

My friend Elise with Elise Allred Photography took Warren's pictures for his 1st birthday photo shoot. He really did not want to look at the camera and just wanted to get up and run around, which are some of his favorite things to do, but even so she got some cute shots. I can't believe he has grown so much and is now one. Thanks Elise I love them.

Warren with his new piano from  Grandpa and Grandma Lore.
He LOVES it!

My handsome little man.
He looks so much like his dad when Zack was about his age.

LOVE IT!

So candid, so Warren.

He also loves the book. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.

A favorite activity, pointing.

And eating Daddy's tie.
One day  you will grow into it.
 And the CAKE SMASHING BEGINS....

Let's see what is this.

Are you sure it's edible?

Oh it is, and it's all SUGAR!

Do I have any left on my hand?

Yummy sugar.

Forget the cake, just give me the frosting.

I love this one too!

Warren's First Birthday

I cannot believe my little boy is one. The time has gone so quickly. He is such a fun little guy and Zack and I love having him around. He is walking and has been since about 10 months, he says and signs more, and loves to say DaDa, and will sometimes say MaMa, mostly when he is upset. It seems like he understands so much of what we say, and often will babble what sounds like an actual response to our questions. He is very inquisitive and such a joy in our lives. Happy 1st Birthday Warren. He got to celebrate his birthday the same day that I graduated so it was a long but fun day. I wanted to have a sock monkey theme and there were traces of monkeys at his party starting with his cake that Zack's cousin Erin made. We loved it. It was so cute and really yummy too, even if Warren did not eat a lot of it. We left it in the fridge until right before, so it was a little cold for him.
I just love this picture of Warren. He loved his balloons, especially the 32" balloon.
Happy  Birthday to my BIRTHDAY BOY!
Side shot of Warren's cake.
Warren's sock monkey cake.
The banner Aunt Jenelle made for Warren's birthday.
Thanks we love it.

The birthday boy himself, he even had a monkey on his romper.

Balloons, presents and a pinata-a sock monkey pinata.
The puppet theater my mom made for the occasion.
Roscoe even put on a show for us, dinner and a show-for FREE!
Thanks Roscoe.

MMMMM CAKE, and it's all MINE!

Warren sporting his new shades from Uncle Lance and Aunt Krystal.
I really like the balloons in the background.

Warren with his loot. He was so spoiled.
Thank you to everyone who came, you were very generous. We love you all!

The kids with the pinata. It was a pull string pinata,
so I did not mind holding it and even the little ones could get in on the action.

The race for candy begins.

Give me some candy and I am a happy baby.

Michaela helped Warren get his own stash of candy.
Where did Warren go?

There he is.
Warren's first year in pictures. I had so much fun putting these pictures together to make a 1 and even more so  I loved reminiscing  as I looked at all the pictures of his first year.

We had so much fun at his party and are so thankful for everyone who could come and who helped out. What a year it is has been. We have loved it and are looking forward to many more fun, adventurous years to come. We love you Warren.

When Warren was born he weighed 7 pounds 7 ounces and was 21 inches long on his birthday he was about 24 pounds (I think) and maybe 30 inches long. Boy has he grown.

Graduation

Graduation Day!
Graduation Day has come and gone and now I am left here reflecting on the day and my time spent at Weber State University. I have spent the majority of my adult life attending classes at Weber, dabbling here and there, changing my major at least three times but that point in my life is now over. As was mentioned either at graduation or my seminar before graduation that once we have reached "there" where will our new there be.  That is what I am now in the process of finding my new there. The place I want to end up next.

The morning of graduation I woke up, checked my grades and found out that I would be graduating with honors. I was so happy and excited I even teared up a little. I had made a goal around the time I was admitted to the education program two years ago to try and get my 3.34 GPA to a 3.6 before I graduated. In these last two years I had only received one A- so I thought  I can do this, but last semester I was 0.01 away from a 3.6. I thought there is no way I can pull off a 3.6 with 8 of my 12 credits being pass/fail but I managed and was so excited and pleased with myself. It took some hard work but it was worth it in the end.

I never could have accomplished my goal or graduating and graduating with honors if it had not been for the support of my family, friends and professors. They helped and encouraged me when I was feeling down and unable to do much more. They watched Warren and looked out for him while I was in class and working on homework or my portfolio and to you all I will be forever grateful. I would not have been able to graduate when I did it it was not for your support and assistance.

One of my professors from Weber State, Teacher Sherry. She was such an inspirational teacher and helped me when I was not sure if I would be a good teacher.

One of my favorite photos of the day. Warren was a big reason that I kept pushing through to finish school. I want him to know  how important education is and how much we value it. I figured by me finishing my schooling I could show him to never give up on himself and to further his education some day. I hope to see him in his own cap and gown in the future.

Zack and I. I could have never made it without his help. He sacrificed so much to help me finish especially these last few semesters.

My mom and I. She was always encouraging me to never give up and keep working toward my dream.

My dad and me. He was always there when I needed to talk and kept telling me I could do this.

Our little family. Warren loved my honor cords.

Grandma  was a great sport and watched Warren everyday of my Fall 2011 semester so Zack and I could go to school and work. Thanks Grandma.

Jesse was such a lifesaver this last semester while I was student teaching. She watched Warren everyday and kept him on his toes, or maybe he kept her and Mat on theirs.

Shany and Leroy, they were so sweet to come and support me.

Kyle and I. He has been trying to convince me to come work in McCammon, ID.

Warren and Mommy, he loved my cap .

What have we been up to?

Long time no post right? Well there is a very good reason. I have spent the last three almost four months student teaching. It was busy and sometimes crazy but I am now done. I actually graduate on Friday and cannot believe graduation is already here. We have been able to have some good times even though I was writing lessons plans like crazy, especially during my first placement in 6th grade. Here is a little peek of what we have done these last few months, minus the lesson plans and school work.
Easter Sunday at GG's.
It is as if Warren is saying" Hey you, yeah you, come help me with this."
Warren in our new bike trailer that we got after Zack and Warren got me a bike for my birthday. We love it, Warren on the other hand really dislikes the helmet.
Just my little sweetheart who does get into EVERYTHING!
Over spring break we spent some time playing at the park at Zack's school while he worked. Warren really enjoyed it even if it was a little cool.
Warren and Daddy. He absolutely loves his Daddy.
In December Zack's grandpa Wiberg passed away. He is such a wonderful man and is missed but his legacy and example live with us still. Grandpa and Grandma Wiberg always tell you to take a mint when you leave so we decided to leave some mints for Grandpa from us.
We love you Grandpa Wiberg
We also spend the day at my Dad's house in Idaho after Christmas and had a great time, minus the speeding ticket. Here is Warren in his little Carhartts and plaid. He looks like a little farmer/cowboy to me, fits right in with Daddy and Grandpa.
Warren Christmas morning when we let him "open" his stocking. He loves these puffs and I love his expression, it's almost as if he is saying; "really these are for me!"
There is a little tidbit of what life has been like for the Ludlow's the last few months. Here's to the next few. There will be some BIG changes coming and we are looking forward to seeing where we end up and what will happen. Shaunna is looking for a teaching position, we will be moving at some point, maybe even buying our first home, and Zack will be starting school again. As well as all our normal summer plans of camping, hiking, swimming and vacations. Here's to a fun, adventurous, unknown, life changing summer.
(Oh and stay tuned for graduation and 1st birthday pictures coming very, very soon)
