San Diego

For the last day of our visit to California we went to a La Jolla Cove in San Diego to go snorkeling. The tide was so high and the waves were HUGE and breaking pretty close to shore. I still went out snorkeling for a little bit with Zack even though we got knocked around quite a bit by the waves. We saw some fish but the water was really cloudy that day and visibility was low. We still had a great time and have the sunburns to prove it.

As a nice surprise Jessica and Shane stopped to show us the Rootbeer store they stop at when going to San Diego. The store has random hours so we were glad to find it open, they have all different flavors and brands of rootbeer and other sodas. It was a fun place to stop we got 5 different flavors and really liked the Route 66 rootbeer and the Dr. Browns Black Cherry soda.

Me at the La Jolla Cove, just to my right was a sea lion, hanging out on the rocks.

We had such a fun vacation, and now it is back to school. School started yesterday and we are starting to get busy, so I am expecting less posts and more homework.

California Adventure

For our second day of the Birthday and Anniversary Surprise we spent most of our time at California Adventure. It was a lot of fun! We have a new favorite ride, I was so nervous for it but it was a ton of fun....

Once upon a time there was a girl, who really like, well love this guy named Zack, they got married then one year she thought... I should surprise him and take him somewhere fun for his birthday.....
So she did and away to Disneyland they went...

They had a ton of fun, made lots of memories.....

Yep and they lived happily ever after!

So this is our new favorite ride.
TOWER OF TERROR
I was so nervous to go on it, but once I rode it, I loved it. I like it better than the rocket, mostly because I don't like being strapped in to much. But you get lifted out of the seat some. On the second ride I sat more in the middle and I came out of my seat a few inches
(it felt like 6 but it probably was not.)

This picture is for Lance and Roscoe

Walking down Hollywood

The scariest ride ever....
Yes I know I look lovely.
It was a little kid ride in It's a Bug's Life, the caterpillar ride.

Waiting for the fireworks to start. I loved them.! I loved how they were timed to some of my favorite Disney songs!

After the fireworks they shoot out confetti shaped like Mickey Mouse.

Great End to a few days at the Happiest Place on Earth, to celebrate some of my happiest days.

Leaving California Adventure
Sorry about the random order

Zack's Big Birthday Surprise Day 1

Zack's 26th Birthday was yesterday and I had some time off work so I started to think of something fun to do. We are also on break from school until Monday, so fun was a must! Disneyland's get in free on your birthday seemed like the perfect getaway! So I tried to keep it a surprise Zack got time off work, I tried to do that without him, but it did not work to well, and we drove through the night Tuesday to make it to Southern Cali. (Thanks for putting us up Jessica and Shane!) Wednesday we went to Disneyland, tired but we went and had a GREAT TIME!
Happy Birthday Zack, hope it was the "happiest" yet!
Welcome to Disneyland!

Yep that's right it's my hunny's birthday. Everywhere we went people would tell Zack Happy Birthday, when he was wearing the pin, and not me! :)

WoHoo we made it and are excited!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Zack's ultimate favorite theme park food, Churros! He wanted 3 for each hand but settled for 1 1/2, his and half of mine!

My favorite picture so far, on the train, we were killing some time till our fast pass was usable.

Here's my Prince Charming!

The aftermath of Splash Mountain, front row baby!

We look super good in our 3D glasses, our next career will be models for 3D glasses, the contract is signed and ready! ")

Where is our next adventure going to be.... we'll just say it will be Californian, a...

3 Years

3 YEARS WOW! I can't believe we have been married that long. We have gone through so much together, the good, the bad and the ugly. Good thing Zack likes me enough to stick around. I am so glad I am married to someone who is so patient and loves me through it all and in spite of me. I love you Zack Happy Anniversary.
Our Wedding Day
so much fun!
Our Sealing, the best day ever!

Our latest family photo.

I love our life together Zack, you make me laugh, keep me sane and grounded, esp when I get crazy. Thank you for all the adventures together. I am looking forward to many years and many more adventures. You mean the world to me and help me see the world in a new way, I love it and love you!

Times Square

If anyone is wondering why there are all these pictures from New York, I spent a week in Manhattan for work. I eventually had a good time and even got to see some of the sites. Here are a bunch of pictures from my adventure. It was raining a lot so the pictures may not be the best I was soaked and ready to go back to my hotel.

Hotel, I guess if I had to be away from Zack staying at the Marriott on Lexington was a good compensation. The bed was so comfy.
I spent a few hours wondering around on Sunday and found the Church of Scientology. No I did not see any celebrities.I did find a really cool street fair though and bought a bunch of these cool class jewels. I am going to make necklaces. The street fair was so much fun, food, music, clothes, jewelry.
LOVED IT!

This is what I looked like after I got back from walking around, I even had an umbrella part of the time.

I know I look wonderful.. so embarrassing.

I was walking along and found where some of the Broadway shows are put on, including the signs for the Little Mermaid. This is for my nieces.

Time Square is just like it seems. I loved it, even in the rain, and it was pouring buckets. Walking through Times Square is when I really started to love NYC!

There is the Hershey's store on one side and the M&M store across the street.
Sorry I did not take a picture of the M&M store.

More of the billboards in Times Square.

Ripley's Believe it or Not.
There was a guy on the street hollering to people about some attraction.

Radio City Music Hall
This was right on the street where the street fair was being held. So I saw it multiple times.

Overall I really did have a good time, I really want to go back with Zack and see more of the sites and make it to the Temple.Ah I never thought I would hear myself say I want to go back to New York City! I was sucked into the magic of the City!

Churchs and Cathedrals

There are Churches and Cathedrals all over New York City, and some really famous ones too (but I can't remember their names, I can't even remember which Churches these ones below are.) There were quite a few close by the branch, one of my favorite ones was just the next avenue over, I saw it the last day I was there sad I know.

This Church had the prettiest red doors, unfortunately when I walked by there was also bars over them and people sitting in front of them, so I did not get a picture.

This Cathedral is on 5th Avenue,it was raining super hard so I just snapped a quick picture and kept walking. It might have been St Pete's I can't remember. There were a bunch of people hiding under the scaffolding to try and get out of the rain.

This Cathedral was gorgeous. I could not get a whole picture of it. It was HUGE! I walked to it on my lunch break but did not have much time so I only saw the front and some of the Children's Statue Garden next to it. When I left my taxi driver drove behind it and I could not believe the size.
I was not able to get a picture of the whole front without standing in the middle of the road while traffic, so just imagine this same thing only flopped to the other side.

I can't remember what church this was but it was not far from my hotel in midtown. It was late and their were people sleeping on the steps so I did not pause long to take a good picture. This church also had a cafe on the south side that was open during the day, it was pretty cool.

I can't believe all the architecture, it is so gorgeous. And to think that a lot of it was built so long ago is even more amazing. I wish that I would have been able to go in these buildings and walk around them so more. Their beauty is astonishing.

Seinfeld Resturant

Across the street from the branch is Tom's Restaurant, aka the Restaurant in Seinfeld.

This is the side of the building that they used when filming.

Me outside the Restaurant

Columbia University

The branch I worked at while I was in New York was just 3 blocks from Columbia University. Monday night after work some of the staff took me up there to see the campus. It was so pretty, I could not believe the campus, the buildings are amazing.

I am not sure what this building was, but it was old.
This is Columbia's Library, it was so amazing.
