This picture describes how our soup for the Annual Ludlow Family Soup Cook Off turned out. We decided to try and make a Pumpkin Soup. It was about 11 pm Thursday night when we finished, we tried a little with our finger... not to bad, we knew it would not win, but it was better than it looked. So we tried a spoonful, YUCK!! It was awful, it tasted just like unsweetened pumpkin pie filling. So Zack and I decided that we would not be entering the soup, but wanted to bring one anyway. We did not have enough time to make another because we both had to work on Friday and Zack had school, but the mischievous side in us came out. We decided to go to Dragon Hill a local Chinese restaurant and buy some hot 'n' sour soup and put it in one of our bowls. We got to the party and everyone was commenting on it wanting to know how we made it. If anyone out there does not know I am a horrible liar and cannot keep a secret. Thus we were disqualified for buying our soup. We will be back next year to try and win the trophy again (we won in 2007 with an Enchilada Soup it was really good), just not with a pumpkin soup recipe.

Your pumpkin soup sounds like Serenity's birthday cake. I tried to make a barbie cake. I started the cake at about 9:00p.m. and by 11:00p.m. I knew it was going to be a disaster so I ended up going to the grocery store and buying a cake. Next year I'll do better. Know you know I'm not really "super mom"!
