Going out for the first time.

The first time we took Warren out of the house was for his checkup Monday the 25th. They were checking for jaundice and just checking him out to make sure he was okay. The checkup ended up resulting in lights. Little Warren's levels were high enough that he had to be put on lights. He had the bed, the suit to be laid in as well as the paddle to go on his belly. This meant no more cuddling my little man because the only time he could come out was to eat and be changed and even then he was supposed to have the paddle across his belly. The lights showed up just as Zack was leaving for work so he came back in and helped get them set up and then our little man was put into his "radiation suit." That first afternoon was so hard for me, especially since that was the first day Zack went to work. I just sat by his bed and cried wishing I could hold my baby and wondering if I had not held him enough the previous days because I had let him sleep in his bed or bouncer instead of holding him constantly. We took Warren back to the doctor Tuesday and they drew more blood to check his levels again and they had gone down enough that the doctor said he can come off the lights Thursday! I am so happy. It is perfect timing because I have to go to the doctor and Zack would have had to stay with Warren but I am forbidden to drive for another week (doctors orders) so now we do not have to find someone to take me and we can all get out of the house for a short while.

Even on the lights I make this look good.

He is tricky and likes to get his arms and hands free from his suit.
His first night on the lights.

Warren in his radiation suit, at least it works and I know it is helping him otherwise I would completely despise the thing.

Going out for the first time, this picture,

well the event leading up to the picture, is the reason for the lights.

Only ONE more night and I can cuddle my baby whenever and not have to leave him on the lights all day and night!
