We celebrated our 8th anniversary just six days after moving to Logan on Friday, August 15th. It was a busy day with me working and then heading back to Syracuse for the bridal shower of my soon to be sister-in-law Ashley so Zack and I decided to celebrate later in the month. I thought I would be sneaky and plan a getaway without Zack knowing but I failed. I am not good at keeping surprises and was too excited so I spilled the beans. Zack and myself had been wanting to go swimming in The Crater at the Homestead Resort for a while now so I made plans for us to spend a night over Labor Day Weekend at The Homestead at Midway. It was such a nice, quiet place to spend some time together. We stayed in a little room in one of their cottages, ate dinner at the restaurant at the hotel and breakfast on the patio by the duck pond of their cafe. The food was great and the atmosphere was lovely but the best part was Monday morning. We went swimming at The Crater. It is a warm spring inside a crater and it is so cool. You can snorkel or scuba dive there and we had a blast. At one point we were the only people swimming above the surface, there were some scuba divers below us and it was so calm, peaceful and relaxing. The water was so blue and just the right temperature. I would love to go back and scuba dive to see what it looks like from below the surface. Thanks for 8 great years babe, I can't believe we have been married that long. It seems like just yesterday and at the same time I can hardly remember life before I was Mrs. Zack Ludlow.
